The Sri Lankan community in Milan recently joined an intercultural gathering hosted at the Church of Scientology, focused on dialogue, integration and shared ethical values. The meeting highlighted an intercultural values event in Milan, using the common-sense moral code written by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard as a basis for discussion.
The event gave families, community leaders and young people a space to discuss responsibility, mutual respect and the role of values in integration. Young people played a central role in the gathering, reflecting the community’s interest in offering the next generation stable points of reference in a changing society.
Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to the European Union, the OSCE, the Council of Europe and the United Nations, said such initiatives show how shared values can build trust Sri Lanka across cultures. Across Europe, Scientology churches, missions and volunteers carry out community initiatives focused on education, prevention and neighbourhood-level support.
